Description of the product
Chainmail skirt is an integral part of late European armor. To reduce the overall weight of the armor, knights stopped wearing full chainmail, instead wearing individual pieces, such as a chainmail skirt and armpit armor. The chainmail skirt was usually used together with the cuirass, for additional protection of the area between the hip joint and the thigh.. However, it could also be worn with a brigandine.
